How to Style a Whimsical Brand Photoshoot (That Actually Feels Like You)
From moodboards to outfit links and florals, here’s how I styled a playful brand shoot that brought my vision—and my business—to life.
So you’re planning a brand shoot—but you want it to feel genuine, colorful, and unmistakably YOU. Not stiff, not overly curated, and definitely not boring. I’ve got you. 🙋♀️
When I won a two-hour brand shoot from The Social Suite MN, I knew I wanted to make the most of it. They teamed me up with Nikki Solis Studios, and we got to work dreaming up a brand session that would feel playful, whimsical, and very Bumble Fleur.
Here’s how I styled my shoot—from Pinterest to props—and how you can do it too:
1. Start with a Moodboard
Hop on a call with your photographer (or a trusted friend!) and build a Pinterest board together. For mine, we pulled dreamy imagery full of color, texture, and movement. Think: whimsical florals, soft pastels, and editorial poses that didn’t feel too serious.
2. Incorporate Personal Touches
I styled my set with florals I use all the time—snapdragons, chamomile, chrysanthemums, carnations, and gerbera daisies—arranged in my pink buckets (a signature from my flower classes 💐). I also used white ceramic vases and custom white pillar stands my grandpa built for me. That mix of professional + personal made the shoot feel so authentic.
3. Curate 2–3 Outfits That Feel Like You
You don’t need a stylist to look put together! I sourced all my outfits from Amazon and planned each one around a specific vibe from the moodboard. Here’s what I wore:

🌿 Soft & Sleek

4. Create Layers with Props
Don’t overdo it—but do add dimension. Buckets of flowers, different height pedestals, and vases filled with in-season blooms helped create movement and made the images feel full without being fussy.
5. Keep It Fun + Flexible
The best shoots happen when you’re not stressing about perfect poses. Build in time to play, laugh, and try unexpected shots. Your photographer will thank you—and your brand will feel all the more real because of it.
If you’re planning a brand shoot, I hope this helped you gather ideas to make it feel intentional, stylish, and full of YOU. 💖
